The system constantly monitors services and servers and detects any outage in real time. The system does not only monitor the uptime of a particular server/service, but also check if the service functions as it should. It identify and report any error/downtime occurred and notify the client by any of the different methods (chosen by client - Email, Voice and SMS alerts, desktop application that pops up etc...).
The system also provides a detailed available report of all the devices/services and the history can viewed different formats and timeframes. Multiple outage verification procedures can be established on the system so that no false alerts are issued. Also, the system is highly configurable and scalable so that different services can be added at any point of time, multiple systems and their contact personnel can be grouped. Also, escalation procedure can be defined for different level or urgencies of downtime. As an example, if a service is down for 1 minute, the technician at work is notified, if it remains down for 5 minutes, the administrator is notified, and if the problem is not corrected for 15 minutes, the notification is escalated to the primary client.
